I hate you, Writer's Block.

Hello! I'm still alive!

Writer's block is a bitch, isn't it?

I originally titled this post 'Dealing with Writer's Block' but I thought that would be rather misleading, because I have no idea how to properly deal with it. But, I really miss blogging. I want to keep updating this - even if it means six month long breaks in between posts!

I find that I can only really balance one big 'hobby' in life along with work, gym, and life in general - I used to write fiction but that fizzled out after I started blogging, and I don't think it's a coincidence that the time I dedicated to blogging dropped off once I started househunting (yes, I'm buying a flat! Fingers crossed I'll get some posts written about that - but I don't want to talk about it too much on here as I'm in the very early stages and I don't want to jinx anything!).

So, I want September to be a new start (of sorts). I'm going to try to set aside time every week to write - be that fiction or blog posts (Belfast's coffee shops will benefit greatly, as I write best in them - she types, currently sat in Clements). I am all over Instagram at the minute (if you're not following me, where have you been?! I'm @ayemcue) but haven't been engaging as much on Twitter, so I'm going to try to be more active on there as well.

I kind of miss having other hobbies as well - it feels like my life since around April has consisted entirely of work, sleep, and browsing PropertyPal. (Oh, PropertyPal, you strangely addictive thing you. I don't need you anymore, yet there you still are, hanging out perpetually on my phone...). In an effort to actually be occasionally productive and creative, I've also signed up for a writing fiction class. Hopefully that'll also kickstart my fiction writing again!

So sorry, internet, for this strange rambly excuse for a post. It reflects that I'm a bit scattered myself at the minute, but I'm going to try and get myself together again. Hopefully Blogtober will be a thing again! I'm also for the #NIBloggerBrunch tomorrow, which I am so looking forward to as the last few have been absolutely fab.

Thanks for sticking with me, and if you have any productivity/dealing-with-writer's-block tips, please tell me them!
