Blogtober Day 8 - The Falling For Fall tag

I've been meaning to do a tag post for a while, and earlier this month Sarah-Louise from Sarah-Louise Writes tagged me in the 'Falling For Fall' tag, which looked fun, so I decided to give it a go. You can check out Sarah-Louise's post here!

What is your favorite Fall scent?
I love the smell of baking, if that counts. To be fair, it tends to be a year-round smell in my house, but I associate Autumn with coming in from the cold to apple pies and crumbles and chocolate chip cookies and loads of other baked goods still warm from the oven... I'm going to stop here, as I'll make myself hungry. Also, I really need to pick up some Autumnal candles!

Do you prefer apple stuff or pumpkin stuff?
I'm not really that familiar with the smell of pumpkin, to be honest (it's not as big a thing here) but I do like apple scents!

What is one thing that you look forward to every single Fall?
Fireworks at Halloween. Halloween has never been my favourite holiday (apart from being able to pick up cheap sweets afterwards), but I seriously love fireworks.

How do you like to spend the more chilly/cloudy days in the Fall?
If it's dry, wrapping up warm and going on a walk through a forest or something to see the changes. If it's wet, curling up in my bed with my kindle or my laptop.

Which do you prefer: Halloween or Thanksgiving?
I've never celebrated Thanksgiving as I'm not from the US, so I'd have to say Halloween? Although I'm not particularly into it apart from chocolate and fireworks!

What is one way you do to embrace the Fall season?
I get to joyously wear scarves again. I have many scarves, and you look a bit odd wearing them in the summer sometimes.

What photos would you like to get this Fall season?
I'd like to spend some dry weekends in forests or outside in general and get some pretty changing nature shots!

Favorite childhood memory from this season?
When I was little, we used to go to a friend of my Mum's house in Derry to watch the fireworks. She had a massive house and garden facing the river that had a great view of the fireworks, and Derry really goes all out for Halloween. Those nights are probably the reason I love fireworks so much, and I'd love to go back to Derry for Halloween.

What is your favorite trend (fashion/makeup/etc) so far this season?
I'm loving the stars and astronomy-themed things that I've seen around. I've already bought a really pretty blue dress with stars from M&S and a navy scarf with gold stars from Primark. They're all so pretty! Aside from that, I've noticed military-style clothes in some shops and I love that style of jackets as well.

Describe what the Fall weather really looks like where you live.
It's pretty cold and usually rainy (although that describes the rest of our seasons as well, to be fair). Sometimes September can be nice... not this year.

Thanks again to Sarah-Louise for tagging me! I can't really think of anyone to tag, but if anyone else would like to take part, please do, and send me the link, as I'd love to read other peoples' answers!

    1. Fireworks are the best! They're absolutely my favourite thing about the season too - I can't wait until Belfast's on Sunday night :D.

(Sorry I took so long to reply to you, by the way! I thought I'd replied but for some reason it didn't go through!)
