Blogtober Day 6 - Places I'd Love To Revisit!

I've been lucky enough to be able to visit quite a few places in my life - although not as many as I would like, as I said here. But there are some places that I've been to that I'd love to go back to, either because they're really wonderful places that I loved, or I didn't get the chance to see as much of the place as I wanted and I'd love to back and see more.

Lisbon

I spent a day in Lisbon on a cruise earlier this year and I fell in love with the city, but I wasn't able to see much of it, unfortunately. I did get to eat a delicious custard tart, though! I'd love to go back and explore the city properly, and see more of Portugal as well, as my only experience of the country is two days on the aforementioned cruise and I loved it.

Iceland

I visited Iceland with a few friends in September 2015 and we had a great time. We stayed in an AirBnB in Reykjavik and rented a car to travel around the major sites. We ticked a lot of the major sites off the list, but the thing about Iceland is that it's all stunning. All of it. Five days barely scratches the surface. We barely saw Reykjavik at all, despite staying there, because we were driving around the rest of the country. I'd love to back and see the city properly, as well as checking out some of the lesser-known tours and attractions.

Italy
I can't really be any more specific than 'Italy', simply because there's so much of it I want to see again. I visited Rome with my family years and years ago, and I'd love to go back there and see it again by myself, with the benefit of being (much) older and able to appreciate it more. Last year I visited Venice, Florence, and Milan, and I'd love to go back to any and all of them again. I loved Venice in particular (someday I must do a post on the city!) and I'd heard that a day or two was enough time to spend there - it's absolutely not. I could have spent a week there easily. Milan as well was a surprise to me, as it's such a contrast to Venice and Florence. It's much more metropolitan and industrial, but still a great city. It reminded me more of Paris than the rest of Italy, to be honest. Which brings us to...

Paris
I've been to Paris a few times now. Once when I was probably about 12 or 13, once in 2014 with my Mum, and then once more earlier this year with a few friends for my birthday. Every single time I have fallen in love with the city a little bit more. I've seen most of the major sites (although there's still plenty I've not gotten to yet!) and still I always want to go back. Some places you just connect to, and Paris is one of those places for me. Whenever I'm bored and idly pricing flights, I tend to always see if Easyjet have any cheap flights coming up to Charles De Gaulle...

The French Riviera
Last year I had a work trip to Cannes (although the picture above is Nice as we were flying out) and because it was work we got to see very little of the city, as we were kept very busy. But Cannes is a gorgeous and somewhat mad place and I'd love to see it again when I'm not worried about getting to workshops or networking the next morning, and can take my time and explore. I also would love to see more of Nice than the airport - and travelling along the entire Riviera (calling into Monaco along the way...) sounds like absolute heaven.

It was really difficult to narrow down the places I've been to my top five to revisit - I sadly had to cut Seville, Montenegro, Kilkenny... Where would you love to go back to?
